Who we are – All Buggy Bootcamp trainers are qualified to work with post-natal clients and are all accredited with the Body Beyond Baby Safe Return to Exercise programme.  You can therefore be sure that you are in safe hands and all post-natal concerns and injuries will be addressed and modified for.  We are friendly, approachable and encouraging (no shouty bootcamp types here) and we come complete with a few stories to tell to keep you entertained too 😉

Our priority is to provide a safe post-natal exercise programme, a professional, reliable service and to ensure that each and every client walks away from their Buggy Bootcamp in Manly, feeling energised, supported and ready for the day ahead.

Carly Steggles – Buggy Bootcamp Owner and Head Trainer

After 6 years of working in a suited and booted corporate Accountancy job in the UK and shortly after returning to her desk after a mammoth 2 year overland trip from the UK to Australia, Carly decided that she didn’t want to see her personality disappear into an excel spread-sheet any longer.  She therefore dramatically (in her head at least) quit to pursue her life-long passion in all things outdoorsy and active with a career in the fitness industry.

Carly now runs Buggy Bootcamp full time, runs around after her two littlies, Finn and Cass, as well as managing her other little ‘non-baby’ fitness venture, OzSquad.  She doesn’t like to sit still much during the day but would currently give her left arm for a full night’s sleep! 😉

To keep fit, I… run, kayak, play beach volleyball, squat, lunge, push up, chin up, sit up, box – I fully believe that variety is the spice of life and key to all-round fitness. Overall though, having completed numerous half, full marathons and a 100km run in the mountains, I guess you could call me a runner!

My favourite quote is… “Live your life on purpose”

My favourite secret indulgence is… cheese. Or hot chips. Or cheese on hot chips! And Tim Tams, damn the Tim Tams….

The thing I love most about Manly is… everything! I honestly never want to live anywhere else and I still get that ‘wow, I live here’ feeling every single day. I hope I never take it for granted how lucky we are to live in such an awesome, unique place. It is also the BEST place in the world to have your maternity leave. I have confirmed this first-hand. Twice!

I look forward to every Buggy Bootcamp because… I get to meet new Mums and cute babies in the Manly sunshine whilst jumping around like an idiot everyday.  I love seeing friendships being made and Mums getting that little boost from the exercise and social connection.

Lynsay Rushworth – Buggy Bootcamp Trainer

Lynsay also escaped an office job in the UK to work as a trainer in the glorious Northern Beaches. A Mum of two herself, Lynsay knows just how tough the first few months (and years!) of Motherhood are and loves helping new Mums get that post work-out high at every Buggy Bootcamp session. Lynsay also LOVES a bargain so your work-out will come complete with the latest local deals and discounts. 😉

To keep fit, I… spin, bodypump, run and see a PT once a week to make sure that I do weights too.

Lana– Buggy Bootcamp Trainer

Lana has been a qualified Master trainer since 2010.  She decided to follow her passion for health and fitness and take a break from 14 years in marketing (while juggling Personal Training clients outside of business hours) after having her first of two energetic boys.

She has a passion for pushing individuals beyond what they think they are capable of, to really spark that exercise endorphin rush. She loves working with people to get real results based on their goals. She thrives on the benefits of interval training not only because of the afterburn it creates, but also because of its time efficiency.  Her means of meditating is by running and lifting weights.  And whilst she understand the benefits of yoga, Lana is not one to sit still for long.

Lana often uses herself as a guinea pig to test out new sessions to ensure she knows exactly what her clients will be feeling at each stage and how to push them just right.  She definitely leads by example.
